VISION STATEMENT
We at Benjamin Franklin School, are working to become a school community of students, teachers, parents, staff and neighborhood members functioning as a team, committed to the academic success of all students. We envision a safe, clean, secure school where administration and staff exhibit positive leadership and maintain high standards of excellence. Students will have access to the latest technology, math and science labs, high quality arts instructin, comprehensive library and electronic resurces, abundant materials, frequent experiences outside of the classroom and exemplary literacy instruction. There will be student performances and cross-curricular, collaborative projects. Classrooms will be brightly painted and there will be space enough to provide quality instruction in a variety of programs. Class sizes will be small allowing teachers to tailor instruction to individual student needs. Teachers will be supported by a strong professional development program. Students will come to Ben Franklin excited about learning, anxious to participate in clubs, sports, peer mediation, community service and extra-curricular activities.
